BRIEF OVERVIEW OF MOUNT IJEN
Mount Ijen or Ijen Crater, a fascinating volcano in East Java, Indonesia. The hike begins around midnight and you will be provided with necessary equipment like gas masks, and flashlights. The journey is to see the unique acidic lake and the enchanting blue flames caused by sulfuric gas mixing with oxygen. It’s a rare sight that’s worth the adventure!

MOUNT IJEN (IJEN CRATER) TREK VIA PALTUDING
The hike up Mount Ijen and into its crater usually takes less than 2 hours. You don’t need special gear or training, but it’s more challenging compared to other visitor-friendly places. But heading down to the crater is quite difficult, this is because around 200 workers mining sulfur in the early morning along a narrow and steep path. While the uphill path from Paltidung (starting point) is easy to follow, descending into the crater (to see blue fire) is tougher.

Day 1:
- Start the Journey Well-Rested: Prepare for an energetic adventure.
- 09.00-09.30 AM (Bali Timezone, GMT+8): Pick up from requested location in Bali.
- 12.30 PM: Depart for Gilimanuk (BALI) port.
- 12.30-13.00 PM: Check-in for ferry to Ketapang (JAVA) port.
- 13.00 PM (Java Time GMT+7): Arrive in Java (Banyuwangi).
- 14.30 PM: Check-in at hotel.
- Free Event: Explore and unwind at your leisure.
Day 2:
- 00.00 AM: Depart for Ijen Basecamp (Paltuding).
- Around 01.00 AM: Enjoy a coffee break, safety briefing, and ticketing.
- 01.30-03.30 AM: Begin the hike to Ijen Crater.
- 03.30-06.30 AM:Â Arrive to the top, witness the mesmerizing Blue Flames*(not mandatory/up to you) and the sunrise at the top of Ijen Crater.
- 06.30-08.30 AM: Return to Basecamp.
- 08.30-09.30 AM WIB: Transfer back to the hotel.
